  • Secured £6m of litigation funding and £5m of ATE insurance on behalf of a group of retail and institutional investors (arising out of a claim for negligence) against two major UK financial institutions. We were instructed by a leading City law firm and major UK funder.
  • Placed $50m of W&I cover for an international agricultural company to de-risk the group’s capital structure.
  • Placed £17m of ATE cover for 5 of the leading UK group litigation firms in a proposed GLO against a major vehicle manufacturer arising out of the emissions scandal.
  • Secured £10m of ATE Cover on behalf of a leading litigation funder for a group of institutional investors bringing securities litigation.
  • Arranged £5m of ATE cover on behalf of an AM100 law firm client of a major US litigation funder to defeat a security for costs application in an investment treaty arbitration.
  • Secured £1m of litigation funding and £1.75m of ATE insurance on behalf of a Big 4 accountancy practice to pursue a multi-jurisdictional claim of $100m + against company directors for breach of statutory duty and TUV.
  • Sourced AUD$3.33m of litigation funding to support a class action of unsecured creditors pursuing AUD$100m+ from an international bank in the federal court of Australia.
  • Sourced a specialist funder who supported an entrepreneur by taking an assignment of a breach of confidence claim against a private venture capitalist firm who stole ideas and plans for a specialist computer application. Claim value of £15m.
  • Arranged €15m of Tax liability protection on behalf of a major real estate investment manager.
  • Successfully secured an ATE scheme with £7m of coverage capacity to support consumers who are bringing breach of contract claims against a number of UK mortgage companies.
  • Secured several million pounds of funding and £3.75m of adverse cost protection to support over 700 retail investors who had lost their retirement monies due to alleged misrepresentations made by large well-known life and investment companies. This was the first time a GLO had been brought in the off-shore jurisdiction concerned.
